With the inspiration of Pat and Shirley Ryan, Welsh-Ryan Arena will be a leader in ADA seating and accommodations. As Shirley Welsh Ryan said in June 2016,

"Welsh-Ryan Arena has been the site for many happy memories for our family, but we also are aware of the challenges that the building can create for persons who are physically challenged. This renovation will enable Welsh-Ryan to set a new standard for accessibility."
